It's funny, I don't get shyness from the portrait at all. She looks more devilish, like she has a good story to tell and she's deciding whether the listener is worthy. She wants to be coaxed.

Wonderful portrait, those eyes could make a man weak in the knees. She seems to be say so much with such a simple look. Beautiful. I know what it is she reminds me of now that painting "Girl with a Pearl Earring" by Johannes Vermeer.
